Lasershow Designer 2000 family

LD2000 Professional:

The ultimate laser show software. Six-channel analog PCAOM color for 1 trillion hues. 3D database objects which can rotate in 3D perspective. 32 tracks. Create shows for up to 30 separate projectors (by adding up to 29 additional QM2000 boards). Includes Abstract Generator, Beam Brush, raster and vector-oriented frames. LD2000 Pro also includes LivePRO, Lasershow Converter 4D , Lasershow Converter FLASH and TraceIT.

LD2000 Pro includes one QM2000 board, which fits in a half-length (7") PCI bus slot. The LD2000 software comes on a CD/DVD-ROM which includes clip art frames and over 100 modules (song-length shows). 50-page illustrated installation manual and Tutorial DVD are also included.

LD2000 Basic:

Similar to LD2000 Pro but with 2D (flat) objects which can rotate in 3D perspective. 16 tracks. LD2000 Basic also includes Lasershow Converter 4D, Lasershow Converter FLASH and TraceIT. Note that you can upgrade to LD2000 Pro at any time by paying the cost difference.

LD2000 Basic includes one QM2000 board, which fits in a half-length (7") PCI bus slot. The LD2000 software comes on a CD-ROM which includes clip art frames and over 100 modules (song-length shows). 50-page illustrated installation manual and Tutorial DVD are also included.

LD2000 Intro:

Excellent introductory-level software. Plays and edits any show created on LD2000 Pro and LD2000 Basic, or create your own simple shows. A low-cost solution for discos, theme parks, etc. to run shows created by others and to do basic creation. Also useful for custom applications and turnkey products, where LD2000 is an embedded device for playback control. LD2000 Intro also includes TraceIT. You can upgrade to LD2000 Basic or Pro at any time by paying the cost difference.

LD2000 Intro includes one QM2000 board which fits in a half-length (7") PCI bus slot. The LD2000 software comes on a CD-ROM which includes clip art frames and over 100 modules (song-length shows). 50-page illustrated installation manual and Tutorial DVD are also included.

512MB memory:

Currently-shipping versions of LD2000 come standard with 256MB of memory. Shows that make heavy use of raster frames or computer graphic animations may require more memory.
256MB is good for most users creating typical laser shows. If your whole show is done with Raster frames, 3D Studio MAX, Macromedia FLASH or Cinema 4D, you might require 512MB or more. (Note: To use 512MB, your board needs to be manufactured after December 20, 2002, or it will need to be updated by Pangolin to handle the larger memory).  Click here for more information.)

QM2000 + NETWORK = QM2000.NET

Since late 1999, the QM2000 board has been the hardware portion of Pangolin's LD2000 series of software. Although it was designed in 1999 with cooperation of Motorola, it was designed to have a very long usable lifetime, with built-in expansion capabilities and support for scan rates greater than four times the 30K state-of- the-art at the time.
Indeed, the capability and expandability of the QM2000 was recognized by ILDA, in the form of a First Place Fenning Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement in the year 2000.
Pangolin continues to add value to the QM2000 with free automatic firmware updates, as well as hardware add-ons such as the Lasershow Player model CD2000. And now, our latest hardware add-on is a Network Adapter Board which can be connected directly to the QM2000.
